Paula Melrose Ajarie

As a former attendee of Norman Manley Law School in Mona, Kingston Jamaica and the University of the West Indies, Bridgetown, Barbados, Paula Melrose Ajarie obtained her Certificate of Legal Education and her Bachelor of Laws Degree (Hons). Ms. Ajarie also completed the STEP Foundation Certificate and Diploma in International Trust Management and the Advanced Certificate in Trust Creation Law and Practice. Ms. Ajarie was the appointed Registrar of the BVI High Court from 2008 - 2014 where her responsibilities included managing the business of the High Court, Commercial Court and the Court of Appeal in the BVI. She provided administrative support and quasi-judicial functions to the Courts including consideration of applications for grants of Probates and Letters of Administration. She was the Mediation Coordinator for the Court as well as the Admiralty Marshall for the Territory. Prior to that appointment, Ms. Ajarie was Deputy Registrar of the High Court, a post she held since 2000 and was an authorized signatory for the certification of documents under the Apostille process at the High Court. From 1997 - 2000, Ms. Ajarie was employed by the government of Jamaica in the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Sports where she provided legal advice to the Minister and pursuit of non-compliance claims in Court.
