Expertise and Professional Background

Karen Reid has extensive experience in public law (judicial review of administrative actions and constitutional law) having worked at the Solicitor General's Department, The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago for 9 years, at the Attorney General's Chambers, British Virgin Islands for approximately 3 years and as Senior Legal Advisor, Government of Montserrat for 2 years.

Karen has appeared before Her Majesty’s Privy Council, the High Court, Family Court and Court of Appeal in Trinidad and Tobago and the High Court and Court of Appeal of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court both in Montserrat and the British Virgin Islands.

As an Attorney in private practice, Karen has had litigation experience in areas including employment law, personal injuries, land law, estate law, contract law, company law and tort as well as extensive experience in the drafting and execution of contracts, leases and other agreements.
